MaxTheFun is a consumer app that predicts theme park queues, plans the best route through the day and guides visitors live. The product is built. This page explains the business.

The problem

High spend, low control

Major theme parks each welcome millions of visitors a year. For a family, a park day is one of the most expensive days they ever buy, and a large share of it is lost to queueing.

  • The order of rides decides the day. The same rides can cost twice the queueing in a bad order.
  • First-time visitors have the most at stake and the least knowledge.
  • Existing tools show the queue right now. They do not say what to do about it.

Three capabilities that build on each other, delivered in an app that takes three taps to get value from.

Forecast

A machine-learning model predicts each ride's queue in 15-minute slots for any date in the next 60 days, and blends in live readings on the day.

Optimise

An exact solver for a time-dependent routing problem, over real walking paths. It answers in milliseconds, so every change to the plan feels instant.

Guide

In-park live mode with GPS, progress tracking and free replanning, ending in a shareable summary of time saved.

Business model

Per-visit purchases at the three moments that matter

Visits are episodic, so we sell by the park day rather than by subscription. Planned launch pricing:

Days before the visit

“What should we do?”

The visitor builds a wish list and previews a plan for free. The preview shows their real savings and the first two stops. Unlocking the full day is planned at €5.

Inside the park

“What now?”

This is when the app is most useful: the visitor is in the park, deciding where to walk next. Live guidance is planned at €20 per park day including the plan, or €30 bundled with a pack of plans.

On the way home

“Back tomorrow?”

The end-of-day summary shows the time saved. Visitors on a multi-day trip can upgrade to the three-day bundle, planned at €50, for the difference.

A free funnel that proves value first

The live map and five plan previews cost nothing and need no account. Users see their own number before any price.

Frictionless checkout

Wallet-first payment through Stripe. Nothing is asked before payment, and email is optional afterwards.

Pricing without app releases

The catalogue is served by our backend, so prices and bundles can be tested and changed without an app release.

Why it is defensible

The value sits on our servers, not in the app

A forecasting pipeline that compounds

Every day of operation adds data, and every user rating adds signal on accuracy. Adding a park means pointing the same pipeline at new data, not rebuilding the product.

The engine never ships to the phone

Forecasting and optimisation run server-side. The app receives only results, which makes the core hard to copy from the client.

A free preview that protects revenue

The free preview proves the saving without giving the plan away. Locked stops are never sent to the phone, so the paid product cannot be extracted from the free one.

Trust as a feature

Savings are measured against a baseline a real visitor could walk, and the app says so when a plan cannot be improved. Numbers that hold up on the day earn referrals.

Wait-time trackers

Websites and apps that list the queue right now. Useful, but they leave the visitor to work out what to do with thirty numbers.

Official park apps and paid fast passes

Parks show current waits and sell skip-the-line access ride by ride, per person. We complement them: a good plan reduces how often a family needs one.

Guidebooks and fan advice

Static touring advice cannot react to the date, the weather or a ride closure. We compute a plan for the exact day and re-plan it live.

App store payment rules

Checkout runs on Stripe today. Some app store regions require in-app purchase for digital features, so an in-app purchase option is planned before store submission.

Independence from park operators

We are independent and say so everywhere. We use no operator branding or imagery on this site, and the product is built to complement a park visit, not to replace anything the park sells.

Forecast accuracy

Forecasts are estimates, and we never promise a wait time. Live guidance exists precisely to correct the plan when the day drifts, and the model is validated on days it was not trained on.

Seasonality and repeat use

Visits are occasional, which is why we price per visit and not by subscription. Growth comes from more parks and from multi-day trips, not from forcing frequency.

Status and roadmap

Built end to end, preparing to launch

    Product built end to end

    iOS and Android app from one codebase, serverless backend in the EU, forecasting pipeline, exact route optimiser, live guidance, and payments integrated in test mode. Several rounds of independent usability and QA review are complete.

  2. Then

    Second park, same resort

    We already collect the data. It uses the same model and the same app, so this is a fast follow.

  3. Later

    More parks and more of the day

    Queue-drop alerts, lock-screen live guidance, dining and show planning, family plan sharing, and expansion to further parks using the same pipeline.
